For many people, home ownership is the beginning of the next stage in their life. Deciding on what type of dwelling is right for you is a decision that should be considered carefully. For young people that enjoy a busy lifestyle with little free time perhaps a condo is the right choice. First, why don't we take a look at the definition of a condominium? The most common definition would be units of property (such as apartments) that individuals own within a building or complex, plus shared ownership of common grounds and the complex structure. When you are considering purchasing a condo you must keep in mind that you will have the usual property taxes to pay, plus condo fees that are applicable to the building where you will be living. You will not need to worry about the upkeep or cutting the grass as you would with purchasing a home, as the condo fees you pay are used for any upgrades and maintenance work that is needed.
Many of the new condominium developments today are more like luxury hotel complexes, with indoor pools, fitness rooms, conference rooms and yes, even outdoor patios complete with BBQs and eating areas. When you return home from a hard day's work you can enjoy the benefits of these facilities, without having to leave home. One such building is located at 208 Queens Quay , which is phase II of the Waterclub Condos development. If you were to choose this location you would be able to enjoy the amenities I have already mentioned plus saunas and steam rooms, a variety of lounges with big screen TVs, billiard tables or a formal entertainment area, complete with a bar and kitchen facilities. For those that choose a bachelor suite or 1 bedroom condo, having overnight guests need not be a problem with the use of one of the 2 furnished guest units on site.
With the high cost of owning a vehicle - insurance, upkeep and parking - a Toronto downtown condo may be the perfect answer. While you are out shopping for that perfect little black dress in one of the many downtown boutiques, or having dinner in your favourite restaurant, you might not realize that you in are in fact on the ground floor of a condominium. More and more people are choosing downtown Toronto as their residence as that is where they work and play. The financial district has a number of high-rise condos available that also include office space, so you may never have to worry about commuting again as your place of business may be located just a short elevator ride away. These grand buildings with their combination of retail, office and living space may also include convenience stores, coffee shops, medical clinics and grocery stores.
New condo developments seem to be springing up alongside the major arteries leading into the GTA. This quick getaway access motivates those who would prefer to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city to purchase one of the many harbourfront condos that are available. Not only may you have a spectacular view of the Toronto waterfront, just hop on Lakeshore Blvd. to the Gardiner and quickly make your way to the QEW or one of the 400 Highways for your weekend escape. Though you may have more visitors than you are used to living so close to such great Toronto attractions as Ontario Place, the CNE, the Rogers Centre and the ACC.
Celebrity watching could be the driving force for those acquiring Yorkville condos . You never know when you may encounter someone famous strolling down the street or perhaps sitting next to you as you dine in one of the many outdoor cafes. This upscale area of Toronto has long been known for the literary and musical talents that once called this area home, and occasionally return to visit their old haunt. Shopping centres such as Hazelton Lanes and Holt Renfrew Centre may be among the first in Ontario to see foreign retailers venture into the province, and as such this area has gained the reputation of being one of the most expensive places in Canada for retailers to lease space. You will never be at a loss for something to do in Yorkville: antiquing, visiting trendy art galleries or maybe just wandering among the Victorian homes.
